Both are 2026 HONOR 14-inch laptops with the same screen resolution, a 1 TB SSD and the same ports. On a product page they look very similar. The differences are in the battery, weight, camera, memory and how much you can upgrade later. Here they are, one by one, using the spec sheet of each model.

Screen: the same panel, with one finish difference
Resolution, refresh rate, brightness and colour are identical: 2880×1800 at 120 Hz, 430 nits and 100% sRGB, with TÜV Rheinland dual certification on both. The only difference on the spec sheets is that the MagicBook 14 has a matte anti-glare finish. If you work near a window or under strong overhead light, you will notice it. The X14 Plus spec sheet does not say its screen is matte.
Battery and charging: a clear win for the MagicBook 14
The MagicBook 14 has 92 Wh against 80 Wh: 15% more capacity. It also charges faster (51% in 30 minutes against 37%) and comes with a small 100 W GaN charger.
One caveat: HONOR quotes battery life using different methods (PCMark 10 Modern Office for the X14 Plus; no method stated for the MagicBook 14). The fair comparison is watt-hours, not hours.
Weight and size: the X14 Plus wins
The X14 Plus is 100 grams lighter (1.29 kg against 1.39 kg) and thinner: 14.9 mm against 16.5–18.9 mm. If it goes in your bag every day, this is the difference you will feel most.
Performance and memory
In the entry configuration both have an Intel Core Ultra 5 and 16 GB. They part ways on options: the MagicBook 14 is available with 32 GB of RAM and with a Core Ultra X7 358H with Intel Arc B390 graphics, better suited to photo and video editing or light gaming. The X14 Plus only comes with 16 GB and integrated graphics. Memory is soldered on both, so it pays to choose well from the start.
The MagicBook 14 also has a second M.2 slot to add another SSD later.
Camera
1080p on the MagicBook 14 against 720p on the X14 Plus. If you are on video calls a lot, you will see the difference.
What they share
The same ports (two full-function USB-C, two USB-A and HDMI 2.1; neither has Thunderbolt), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and Windows 11 Home.
Price
EU price, VAT included (October 2026): with Core Ultra 5, 16 GB and 1 TB, the MagicBook 14 2026 costs €1,499 and the X14 Plus 2026 €1,349, a €150 difference. Prices may change; the current price is always on each product page.
